Family means everything to Latika, her siblings are her world without them she wouldn't be where she is, growing up they were all they had a bond that could never be broken. October 17, 2016 was a day that broke them all a day that tested the strength of their bond. Rest in Paradise Ricky we gone Stay Sucka Free.

MOTIVATION

High Talent Vision/Branding

The whole vision of creating this brand was so I wouldn’t look  like anyone or even accidentally have the same shirt on as the next person. I believe in originality I believe in being unique and having your own style. I believe clothes speak and can tell a story so that’s what I create. I create designs that aren't your traditional style or something people may not even be use to. I don't want people to get use to anything I create I want everyone to guess on what the next design can possibly be. I never want people to get use to what's trendy. Designs are inspired by what's happening in the world, what's happening in my personal life, or just when I’m in my zone. Fashion for me has always been a love of mine I’ve always been that one person out of the crew that had something different on especially once I was able to create most of the things on my own. I admire artist like Basquiat, Keith Haring, Picasso and Chris Brown because they believe that art is art no matter how other people may view it or not perfect it may look to someone else it is still something they take pride in and I respect that. Growing up art was always brought to me as something that had to be perfect, every line should be straight nothing should be off make sure you color inside the lines just basically not enough free space for me to really be myself I felt like. I got older and made my own rules on what I wanted to create. There aren't any rules for what I want to create. I just create.

My whole mission for High Talent is for it to become a way people think about living and pursing their dreams. I believe you can honestly conquer anything if you put that work and your mind to it, I don't live a regular life sh*t I never had a regular life so I've always lived based off of how I feel I don't live for others. I don't believe in following high brand trends, don't get me wrong I like those things but being a designer a young self taught artist you start to learn about a few things in the business and alot of these high end brands are over charging tf out of the people and the people pay for it because that's what makes the people  feel like money, look like money but we all broke and boujii. If I had it I'd probably be goofy like them but I wouldn't let that define me I'd only want to look boujii in Cali or overseas. Designer sh*t is cool but I'm a designer too and I like my sh*t too and in a few years my name gone be up there with that designer sh*t too but I'll always have shit for the broke boujii nigg like you! Just stay true to you and never let that little sh*t stress you.

Don't let them taint your soul.
